We decided to get Taryn a new posturepaedic mattress - only, they didn't make them in 190cm lengths any more, only 200cm, which was too long for her bed. This meant a whole new bed. I had also said many years ago that when she became a teenager, we would get her a double bed to spread out in, so this was the perfect opportunity to do both.
We stripped her room out. Man did she have a lot of stuff in there. This is what my lounge looked like for a couple of hours during the changeover.
Then I made her check through everything before it was allowed back into the room and she actually got rid of a lot of stuff. Here's her room when we'd finished.
All I have to do now is finish painting her bookcase (and perhaps shorten or replace the curtains) and it will be done.
