At the last scrapcamp, I accidentally reversed into someone else's car, placing a good ding in the front. In my defence, it was pitch black outside and whilst everyone else had parked in a line against the edge of the carpark, this particular car was parked sideways right behind everyone else and I just didn't see it when I hoped in my car to go out, but still, I did hit it.
Anyway, luckily for me, the owner took it all very well and despite my offering to pay for damage, simply said Oh $50 and a cake and we're square!
It was really a no-brainer as to what type of cake to make, so during the weekend workshop, I baked and iced this car cake, then once finished, proceeded to mash in the front as a little joke. Paula took photos and video as I put the final touches (the mashing and the icing) to the cake. The owner then arrived and was handed their cake, at which they laughed and took it all in good fun.
I have to add, ever since this event, I have reversed into a parking position at camp, so that should I need to go out again at night, I can easily see what is in front of me.
