Home Stay 2010

Our first Home stay for 2010 was a 14 year old girl from Japan called Narumi.

I am happy to report that she was one of the nicest young ladies I have met and her parents should be very proud. She was super helpful, tidy & polite. An absolute pleasure to have.

During her first weekend here, we got her onto the trampoline (as many home stays have not been on one before and seem to enjoy it) and also did some home baking. We made stained glass window biscuits (biscuits with lollies cooked in the centre to form a hard coloured but transparent centre piece). She laughed when having to smash up the lollies with a rolling pin - they were quite tough ones too. She did an awesome job of making biscuits and we thoroughly enjoyed the results. She took one to school each day for lunch during the first week.
